How the height comparison is calculated
Every entry is converted internally to centimeters. The tallest selected figure sets the upper limit of the chart, while every other figure is drawn as a proportion of that maximum. Because all figures stand on one baseline, the relative difference is preserved.
For the most useful result
- Measure without shoes and stand upright against a flat wall.
- Keep the book or measuring tool level when marking the top of the head.
- Use the same rounding method for everyone in the comparison.
- Treat hairstyle and footwear as visual details, not part of measured height.
Understanding feet, inches and centimeters
One foot contains 12 inches, and one inch equals exactly 2.54 centimeters. A height of 5 feet 10 inches is therefore 70 inches, or 177.8 centimeters. Our height converter is useful when you need the numerical conversion without a visual chart.

How many figures can I compare?
You can compare between two and six figures at a time. Keeping the chart to six entries helps labels remain readable on smaller screens.
Are feet and centimeters compared accurately?
Yes. Feet and inches are converted using the exact relationship of 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters before visual proportions are calculated.
Does DigitalTall save the heights I enter?
No. The interactive calculation runs locally in your browser. DigitalTall does not receive or store names or measurements entered into this tool.
Can I compare objects or fictional characters?
Yes. The name field is simply a label, so you may use it for a person, object or character. The silhouette remains a neutral reference shape.
Why might two official height sources disagree?
Published heights can vary because of rounding, footwear, time of day, outdated information or different source quality. When accuracy matters, use a direct current measurement.
Can I use the downloaded image?
You may use images you create for personal or educational purposes. Do not use another person’s name or data in a misleading, harassing or unlawful way.
